The role of the Estimator / Project Manager at Seben After Disaster involves managing restoration files from the initial loss through to the completion of reconstruction work. The person in this position must plan and lead field teams by providing the necessary instructions to complete the work at clients’ properties.

They also act as an expert with insurance companies while maintaining an advisory role with policyholders, guiding them through the claims process.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to loss sites to evaluate reconstruction work required

• Prepare estimates using Xactimate software

• Establish work schedules for restoration projects

• Ensure effective communication and thorough follow-up with insurance adjusters and insured clients

• Plan and manage files daily in collaboration with the Operations Assistant

• Complete required documentation according to insurance company standards

• Manage work crews on job sites

• Monitor and control quality of work performed

• Provide outstanding customer service

Requirements

• Experience in the disaster restoration industry (an asset)

• Experience in project management in residential and/or commercial construction or renovation

• Experience in estimating

• Knowledge of Xactimate and XactAnalysis software (an asset)

• Post-secondary diploma related to the position

• Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written)

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
